Can dogs eat avocado?
Caution
Not really. A little flesh is low risk, but the pit is dangerous.
The flesh is fatty and can upset their stomach. The pit can get stuck in their throat or gut.

Why?
Avocados contain persin, which is a bigger problem for birds and horses than dogs. For dogs, the main risks are the pit and the high fat content.
